No private party engaged in Gul Plaza rescue, says KMC

Karachi: Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) categorically and unequivocally rejects the misleading and unfounded speculations circulating regarding the rescue of vehicles from the rooftop and adjacent areas of Gul Plaza. These claims, suggesting that the rescue operation was carried out by private parties, are entirely false, factually incorrect, and aimed at creating confusion among the public.

It is placed on record that the comprehensive rescue and clearance operation at Gul Plaza was executed solely by Karachi Metropolitan Corporation in coordination with other relevant government and civic agencies. The primary objective of the operation was to ensure public safety, create safe access within the affected mall, and remove hazardous obstructions following the incident.
