Huge quantity of drugs recovered in Dist. West
Karachi: Excise, Taxation and Narcotics Control Department, Sindh has recovered 266 kg 950 grams of ice and 60 kg of heroin from a vehicle and warehouse during an operation on a tip-off. The recovered cache of drugs is worth 3 to 4 billion rupees in international market. The successful operation was conducted by a team of Narcotics Control Wing District West at Hub Checkpost.
The operation was completed in two phases, the first operation was carried out at Hub checkpost during a search of Toyota pickup Revo number LB-8950, in which 240 kg and 350 grams of ice (Methamphetamine) and 60 kg of heroin were recovered from the hidden cells of the vehicle.
The second operation was carried out in a warehouse in Garden West Nishtar road area on the identification of the arrested accused Arif Iqbal s/o Shah Mohammad, who was arrested along with the vehicle, where 26 kg and 600 grams of ice were recovered during the operation in the warehouse.
The drugs recovered from the godown were hidden in big plastic bags, full of used cloths (Lunda cloths)
The seized drug consignment could have been used by millions of people.
