Hazim Joins AC Aram Bagh Office

KARACHI: The Sindh government has posted Hazim Bangwar as the new Assistant Commissioner of Aram Bagh, District South, Karachi, effective February 2026. Bangwar announced the assignment on February 13, 2026, via social media, stating: “Aram Bagh (District South) I’m honoured to be posted to serve as your new Assistant Commissioner.” Residents welcomed the move, anticipating his proactive governance in this historic, densely populated area.
Born on December 30, 1993, in Karachi, Bangwar spent his early years in New York and London. His mother is an Iraqi-origin architect, and his father a former Deputy Inspector General in the Pakistan Police. He holds degrees in Fashion Design & Marketing from AIU London and an LLB from a London university. In 2024, he was accepted into Harvard’s Master’s in Global Development Practice.
Before civil service, Bangwar was a recording artist with Young Money Entertainment (YME), releasing a 2013 mixtape One Man Army and writing for artists like Jessie J, Future, and Nicki Minaj. He also ran philanthropic efforts via the Hazem Foundation.
In 2019, he qualified for the Provincial Management Service (PMS) through the Sindh Public Service Commission. His Karachi postings include Assistant Commissioner in North Nazimabad (where he gained fame), Revenue in District East, and General at the Commissioner’s office. Known for hands-on anti-encroachment drives, illegal parking crackdowns, and animal welfare initiatives (e.g., relocating market animals with vet support), his stylish, eccentric persona and active social media (@hazimbangwar on Instagram with 90K+ followers; @HazimBangwar on X) have made him a public sensation.
