KARACHI / ISLAMABAD / LAHORE, January 31: Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has called upon the world to reaffirm its commitment to tolerance, compassion and peaceful coexistence, urging the international community to take serious note of the situation in India, where Islamophobia and hostility toward religious minorities continue to grow under state patronage.

According to the press release issued by the Media Cell Bilawal House, the PPP Chairman said in his message on World Interfaith Harmony Week that at a time of rising intolerance, hatred and division, the call for mutual respect among religions has never been more urgent. “Harmony between faiths is the language of humanity—it heals wounds, builds trust and strengthens societies,” he added.

Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that Pakistan’s soul lies in its pluralistic heritage, where people of different faiths and beliefs have shared history, culture and hope. He recalled the vision of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, and the democratic legacy of Quaid-e-Awam Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto, who upheld equality of citizens and respect for all religions as the cornerstone of a just society.

Stressing that extremism grows where dialogue is suppressed, Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari urged scholars, youth, educators and civil society to reject hatred, protect minority rights and promote dialogue. “A nation that respects every faith upholds humanity and moves forward with strength and hope,” he concluded.
